Today is my boy cat's birthday. He is 12.
Happy birthday to my gorgeous cuddly, fluffy boy cat, and I hope there are many more to come.
Given that he was nearly 6 when he and his companion (girl cat) were rescued, near death, from horrific neglect and abuse, I know he's now lived at least half his life in safety and comfort as a spoiled, pampered pet. |

Happy Birthday lucky puss
I Love stories of rescue pets, any pets I grew up with were always rescues or strays taken in by mum, I could cry when I think of how they must feel to finally feeled cared for xx |

"what did he get for his birthday?
plate of coley?"
He might get something nice later. He's sprawled on the windowsill enjoying the sun at the moment, (it's bright here and the sun coming through the window is quite warm). |

"Happy Birthday Pussy cat...does he have a name?"
Milo
That was his name when I adopted him and I didn't change it. He also has a pedigree name but I don't know what that is because the rescue charity keep the paperwork. |

Hmmmmm, now am I the only one to see a huge dose of hypocrisy with this post?
Tigerfeet has told us how she took in a rescue moggy and turned its little life around.
HOWEVER, she is doing so at the same time as she is wearing actual tigers on her feet. Tigers taken from their natural habitat, separated from their families and then killed so that their skins might become fluffy footwear for heartless and opulent westerners
TF - have you forgotten that tigers are indeed cats?
Heartbreaking. Remember folks - a big cat is for life, not just for Christmas presents. |

*Two* rescue cats. And pedigrees, not moggies.
And the tigers were old and died of natural causes.

Love them when they do that. I call it 'melted cat'. |

Haha, yes, that's exactly how he looks. He's about 8 feet long from paws to the end of his tails, or at least, that's how it seems. He's hanging off the edge of the windowsill too as he's too wide for it.
I don't know how he can stand it. He's long-haired and he has his winter plumage on now too. I also don't know how he doesn't fall off, hanging off the edge like he is. |
