Has anyone seen ”send nudes - body sos on E4”?
I watched 10 mins of it last night and was shocked! not by the shite program but the way society and also programme makers are basically conning people
Premis of the show last night a gay guy comes on (Roman rice) and is unhappy with his man boobs and wants surgery to reduce them at a cost of £10k so they show him a virtual body of him now and what he could look like. They then ask random strangers what they think and advice.
The guy is a little bit overweight and has a gut on him and has had lip fillers that looked ridiculous . The majority of the people say he’s ok and fine 2 people say he’s overweight but if he wants it for his self esteem get it done. Back to the guy and he’s crying because people have said mean things ??
I thought rather than surgery the guy has phycological problems and needs help, if he lost some weight then he’d loose the fat his man boobs and wouldn’t need surgery.
Shame on the program makers for glorifying surgery and pandering to this guy
But then after a bit of Googling I discover he’s been on quite a few of these so called programs. One night with my ex, naked attraction etc
This is just another one of those programs, you know the ones presented by a reality star that has other reality stars or wannabes that are churned out by the network
Society is fucked up
Some people need physiological help
But then there are some people that do anything for the attention
People want to take a short cuts
Program makers will stoop to any level to get audiences
Never believe everything you see
By me been shocked at what I watched I’m inadvertently advertising it by moaning about it
Definitely not watching that shite again!! |

It's always been part of the psyche of some of us to watch similar, back as far as the games in Rome etc..
Plenty of 'fodder' for the modern makers of such trash to exploit and dump afterwards sadly with real life consequences for some of them which for some of the gawpers will justify how much better they are and at least there's fame for some in it as well as 'entertainment'..

I'm more surprised that it has taken people so long to cop onto these type of shows.
I watched the very first series of Big Brother because it was new and different but haven't watched a single episode since for all the reasons mentioned in the op.
I don't watch any form of programme that plays on people's emotions or highlights the contestants inadequacies because it's just the modern equivalent of rubber necking. |

Society is now getting pre programed to reject things of substance and results of hardwork, instead crave instant results, only be told what they want to hear even if it's a lie, refuse the truth even if it's hard to take but what's need to help you.
When I was a kid celebrities were famous because they were skilled at sports,music,or acting or other arts now you can get instant fame from fucking around, crying about how mean the world is.
