How many of you find it difficult to share a bed with your playmate?
I talked about finding it difficult to share a bed with another person with my colleague today, whose girlfriend lives some distance away from him, and they meet up from time to time whenever they can etc...
And he whole-heartedly agreed with me that they too find it difficult to share a bed together as they have been sleeping on their own for so long!
I don't expect my playmates to stay the night, and tell them so in advance.
And I always carry and supply earplugs in case they do. |

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
I am afraid after 6 years of living alone I tend to use all of my double bed, and when I share with my FB he is the same so I end teetering on the edge of the bed all night.
Twin doubles is the way to go, although I'd still end up sleeping in the wet patch! |

I've been on my own for 10 years now and had my bed all to myself, so can lay like a starfish if I want, having someone else in my bed would be strange, but it's a risk I'm willing to take |

My dog sleeps on the spare side of the double bed on top of the duvet.
He gets the hump whenever he has to sleep on a makeshift bed on the floor.
Luckily for him that I no longer accommodate at home.

i've been fortunate to be offered the opportunity to stay overnight but it's something and although it would be nice to wake up next to someone I tend to shy away from it...... part of the enjoyment of the casual side of things for me is the fact that no one has to know if i do or dont belch/fart/snore/scratch my arse/hog all the duvet etc when i snuggle down for some well earned rest...
... for me that's like going to the loo with the door open... we all know what goes on, but there's no need to advertise it to all and sundry!!

Try moving your bed next to the wall!

No chance, as it is in the middle of the room! |

Only have sleep overs with my fb, and he usually tells me off for being on his side by morning...but it's his fault cause he steals all the covers and I can never wrestle them back! Might have to take a blanket in future |

I havent shared a bed more than 5 times in last 20 years. Sometimes it would be lovely to cuddle up with someone..
I probably snore and would be embarrassed nowadays. I do like my own space though |

I've been on my own so long now I find it very hard to settle let alone sleep if sharing a bed, if someone is staying over, I do warn them that I will probably migrate to the spare bed as soon as they've dropped off, typically I can't sleep well when I know there's someone else in the house, inc. the grand kids |

lol I look like a right muppet with a hat on "
.
Who is going to see you if you are on your own?
I wear one to bed when I go camping in the winter. |

I was married until 3.5 years ago which is the last time I shared a bed regularly. Since being single I have got way too used to sleeping alone and really find sharing difficult now. Just can't get comfy and at 6ft 4" I do like to snaffle most of the bed!! |

I prefer feather/down duvets and don't like synthetic ones.
I use a double 3-in-1 duck feather/down duvet instead of sleeping bag when I go camping, snug as a bug.

I love the theory of sleeping with someone. Going to sleep cuddled up or spooning.
Every so often it happens with a close friend, and then the reality kicks in. They are fast asleep and snoring, I'm wide awake, but locked in their iron grip, and I can't get comfy.
Or they've stolen all the bedclothes, and I can't get comfy.
I just end up in the living room on the sofa.

Twice in the last year I've broken my 'no overnighters' rule!
The first we just passed out after a long session of fun and drinks. The second was planned. Neither situation was awkward as both times were with people I'd met before.
The main reason I usually avoid it is the blurring of boundaries between simple, no strings fun and that little bit more emotional attachment.
It's never caused me any problems so far and I've no real plans to change my philosophy! |

Most of the last 25 years I have slept on my own but I really love waking up with a warm snuggly body next to me. I've had playmates sleepover on occasion but only the ones I know well.
BUT, I have a super kingsize bed. It means two people have plenty of room to sleep cuddled up or apart.
It's also a marvellous place for a tangle of many bodies. |

I have a huge bed all to myself. Have done for afew years now. I do miss not having someone to cuddle up to. You know the little touches nd kisses you get in the night. It's not quite the same having a meet stay over. |

I'll give you fifteen. "
