Today from just under 108 for diesel to just under 190p.

Petrol from 160 to 163.

At lunch time the local supermarket was still at 180 for diesel and 160 for petrol.

Our main car can hold 93lts and i often fill her to the brim, thirds of a tank left so if out tomorrow will fill her up if still around the 180.

Schools first day off is 25th Oct so not sure why prices shot up on that station and its not an indy

Probably because of OPEC’s decision not to increase production, and the weakening £ vs $.

Thaks. Just read some French refineries on strike and fuel shortage in France may affect UK.

If we go out tomorrow will fill her up if its not already shot up at the local s/market petrol station

It will be the 2nd reason… because oil is priced in dollars… it went up as the pound got Weaker…

The oil production bit man makes prices go up a little further, but it takes weeks for it to filter through the system, and even then the cut doesn’t start till next month…

Also, let’s face it. Some unscrupulous forecourt operators don’t need much excuse to bung a few pence onto the price when bad news hits the press.

Yep, its a combi of what you guys said. ie, opec, france refineries, pound vs dollar and greedy suppliers.

I've just filled one of the cars up, manged a 180p - cost a fraction under 117 pounds.
