Yesterday, whilst picking the usual bottle of Aldi own brand tomato ketchup, mistakingly I put a bottle of Heinz Tomato Ketchup in the trolly and didn’t realise until unpacking at home.
Now despite that fact I’ve just paid more for Ketchup than I did the Fish and Chips I put it on, it was worth it.
Just this once mind.
Have any of you had an unexpected indulgence.
Peace and Love Fiddles. |

The biggest issue with branded vs “non-branded” is that some non-branded products are made by the same manufacturer as the branded products. |

People say that about Kellogg’s though. I’ve yet to find any branded that match Kellogg’s! |

I went to M&S to buy a duvet cover and went for the more expensive brushed cotton one over the cheaper version . Just felt a lot more smooth and soft so does that count x |

I’ve heard the stories about Kellogg’s but I’ve not known Kellogg’s to repackage their products as off label. I know there are canned goods brands that do and some beverage companies. |

I sent my husband shopping once with a list I'd written. When he got back I asked where the rice cakes were. He looked a bit flummoxed, but did then unpack a delicious selection of "nice cakes" he'd chosen. He blamed my handwriting. We did enjoy the indulgence of posh cakes rather than crackers though |

My old teacher used to love recalling the days working at the pie factory, churning them out for kipling etc, and changing the tooling to make them ever so slightly smaller and then doing everyone else's.
Same recipe and everything. Madness. Love it.
With some things though, I agree the price is worth the relative increase in quality, naturally.
But I've never subscribed to this with what I'd call the basic staples. It's amazing how quickly you can double the cost of a shop going for the "big" brands on everything.

This definitely fits the brief of unintentional indulgence |
