Everything is about sex. Except sex. Sex is about power.
I think from House Of Cards, but I had a trip out recently to a nice and naughty place where I was lucky enough to have lots of fun, but this quote seemed to fit a lot of the interactions I was lucky enough to share in.
I wonder how other fabsters feel this quote applies to there experience ?
Oh! Should I say: I am NOT asking for a friend? |

"Everything is about joy. Sex is a channel for, and intensification, of joy. Power and control are merely directional."
Have you read Schopenhauer? Certainly human drive may aspire to “joy” or “happiness” but sex is a baser need, it doesn’t require high intelligence, it is a driver like eating, sleeping and breathing. It is required to maintain life.
Certainly the rituals we develop to make the function more entertaining can become quite elaborate and can lead to joy, but I don’t think that is really what it is about. Power and control directional?
Power and control are drivers and joy perhaps a destination, or a desire… which is not always achieved! |

It definitely is, both consciously and subconsciously, that's how and why it is so often mis-used and abused as a tool for bad deeds |

"There are plenty who use sex for power (or withhold for same).
There are those that it’s an expression of love.
For me it’s just a bloody good hobby. . It’s about sex. "
Sex = fun, fulfilling an emotional and physical need and for its own sake. And to scratch our kinky itches. That’s our tale - sure others have a different view x |

This, not only Schopenhauer but If you read Mallow's hierarchy of needs model. Sex also falls within the ground floor level of basic needs similar to food, water, heat, shelter etc. |

Not sure I agree with the wise words .
I love sex .
I hate power . I really hate power .
Really don’t give 2 fucks about fame or popularity.
So really don’t see how that Great man calculates that …
For me sex is all about happiness . Being alive .
Sharing the love and the passion and the pleasure …
Max power i see about sex is me as a Dom and owning a Sub . Wich goes back to share the love .

I've read The World as Will and Idea, but I'm with Nietzsche, who once said it was wrong to see him as the great No-sayer. It's just that before one can build again, one must often clear the ground. |
