its a term of phrase like hi babe or hi darling, when you get lots of messages you will see these habitually used phrases a lot better to compliment than not I think but having said that I only say it if you are beautiful

It doesn't piss me off, but my eyes will involuntarily roll and my finger will be automatically hitting the delete button before my brain has had chance to engage. I can't take anyone seriously who calls me gorgeous or beautiful without having seen my chops.

What REALLY makes me laugh, in a hollow, cynical sort of way, is when someone says "what's someone like you doing on here? You don't need to be on fab to get sex".

This is the classic man sees images / make assumptions about the person based on images / man fills in the blanks about images / man decides the individual is beautiful.

In your images you present yourself as interesting, slim, perky breasts. They are naturally going to suggest your body and how it present is how your face will also look.

Hence the stunning, hot, beautiful..

Now here is the kicker. If you take umbridge over any compliment, that suggests you most likely do not love yourself or the image you portray. This is where personal self belief comes in.

Because you are hot and stunning and beautiful. I do not need to see your face to know this....

OP despite all of your protestations you have a well above average aesthetically pleasing figure, and a decent head of hair - and yeah I was brought up on a cattle farm

. Some guys have very low self esteem and goals so to them you are a goddess. I know that doesn't stop you getting creeped out but it goes hand in hand with publishing your image in a public environment.

I have absolutely no idea how these big celebrities cope because they get your weekly inbox worth of filth every few seconds.

I find interesting faces beautiful and I always have. (I have a thing for tall women too.)

I had an ex that was really angry that I had gone out with someone at some point previously that she didn’t consider good looking. She seemed insulted by it. I really couldn’t get my head around that one.

I like quirky looking people not run of the mill plain Kate Moss type faces.

As for my face, I don’t consider myself photogenic in the least. I have come to terms with my big droopy nose though and my big old chin.

In real life I am surprised at how often people both men and women think that I am beautiful and sometimes tell me so. I got told I was beautiful and good looking by two different women on a night out recently.

I have struggled in my life to accept these compliments and disregarded them because they obviously can’t see what I can in the mirror!

Mostly I just go with the flow because everyone is different and people like what they like.

A strong face with stand out features can be and is beautiful.

I shan’t go into the whole load of bollox peddled by the media about what is beautiful and what isn’t but it is to blame for a lot of things.
