A box at end of your bed

I still have a few records of all the ones I have only one may be worth some money, that is a 1st issue 1973 pink floyd dark side of the moon with stickers and poster. Unfortunately the sleeve is not in perfect condition but its not falling apart either. I still love listening to that album it's an amazing chill record.

Newcastle upon Tyne

Mrs has two.or three boxes with her vinyl in most dating back to the 70s and 80s. She swears some of them are quite rare. I have no idea myself as all my early stuff is on CDs.

Ironically we have nothing in our house to play Vinyl or CDs so they are just gathering dust.

I’ve got some records. Not a collector, and that’s the reason I wouldn’t pay the 75 quid price for Apetite for destruction. it had a rerelease in hmv where I could pay 30 for 2

I do t need originals, it would be nice.

But, true story, one day I will have my hands on the whole Beatles back catalogue.

Yes I got rid of my record player many years ago and totally forgot about records when CD came out. But when vinyl became the in thing a few years back, my son bought me a small portable record player for Xmas and I started listening to all my old vinyls again. I had forgotten how crackly and how they sometimes jumped was like I was back in my teens. LoL

I sold a few records about 20yr ago (before all this explosion took off). Because times were hard etc.

the one I regret selling was my Rock n Roll Swindle. the only real Punk album I can and could listen to. Also sold a Now that’s what I call music. The 1st one. Damn you EBay!!!!!

by the big field

I jumped to CD's quite early (about 89, when they had about 25-30 available, displayed in plastic wallets stapled to the wall by the till).

Some of those are worth a fair bit, got one 13 disc collection that sell for between £25 & £50 per disc on ebay depending on the edition, a couple of copies of the limited edition single Nirvana did with The Jesus Lizard amongst other rarities and oddities.

Have still got a modest collection of old vinyl from way back- mainly picture discs, gatefolds and 12" releases including most of the first release Pet Shop Boys stuff, lots of indie including a load of PWEI picture discs the guy in my local record shop sold me at a discount when he got his GF knocked up and a Sex Pistols 7" i acquired from fuck knows where, which seems to be a bit rare that i really should look at selling?

None of this lot would even scratch the surface of negating what i've spent on music since i started buying music when i was about 9- but i do have a rather fine and extensive collection

Worthing

A few rock albums AC/DC first album although it's a New Zealand import from 1981 so not the 1974 original High Voltage. Iron Maidens Piece of Mind from first week of release. Def Leppards first single Hello America. Others probably around somewhere in loft.
