Ninja ants.

They hide under the toaster and then carry the crumbs back to the drawer whilst you're looking for the marmalade in the fridge.

Do you know the difference between jam and marmalade?

A

Crumbs in your drawers suggests someone’s been eating in there

I'd imagine you make toast nearby; the crumbs fall on to the kitchen side and inevitably some will fall in the draw.

If you don't make toast nearby, then the only thing I can think of is that they have somehow escaped the dimension of lost keys, small change and guitar picks, somehow manifesting themselves within your cutlery draw...

To be honest i usually rattle it off the counter a couple times only if it’s not needing a proper wash

I’m probably more weird than that, I’ll brush them onto the floor then get the brush and sweep up

The Town by The Cross

This is a very disturbing thread.

I've noticed that my cutlery draw only has crumbs and assorted dirty items when a guest opens it .......

Bloody spotless before they arrive ..... innit.

True!

But I was actually going to say you can't accidentally marmalade your knob in the fridge door whilst looking for the actual marmalade to put on your toast that you're making in the nude because for once you have the house to yourself.

A

*not that that's ever happened to me of course........
