"In the spirit of Halloween what's everyone favourite horror film?
Myself it's the first evil dead"
My go to is Boris Karloff in The Mummy ….. in my view, the best and scariest version |

"Nothing more haunting than that piano track and Michael Myers appearing "
I mean if you can't escape Michael Myers there's something seriously wrong with you. |

The sacristy ones are where it's just implied and you don't actually see anything. Once you see it it spoils it.
I loved Jeepers Creepers, right up until you actually saw the thing, no longer scary. |

I loved The Conjuring. I have a slight obsession with The Warrens.
Can we count Blade as a horror? It has vampires in it? In which case I’ll add Lost Boys & Fright Night (the original one).
The exorcist is a classic.
I love horror in general |

Fuck right. That’s still my goto example of how to scare an audience. It’s the imagination of yourself that causes the intensity, when they try to give you a visual afterwards, it rarely meets you heightened expectations.
I mean Texas chainsaw got it right. He was a nutter. And there’s o others that worked. But jeepers creepers was such a come down. |

Just never understood that if you can’t kill him why no-one tried cut his leg off in one of the many times he’s been laid out, so he can’t power walk after them |

No such thing as a favourite in my book as there’s too many I love. But my favourite within the horror genre would be sci fi horror films. So Alien would probably be the horror film I’ve watched the most.
I think Aliens is an action film.
Not mentioned so far is ‘The Orphanage’ great little chiller.
But so many 80’s classics like The Thing or Halloween.
Or even classics like Night of the Demon or The Wicker Man.
But I do enjoy a good Hammer horror film especially if Christopher Lee or Peter Cushing is starring. |

Horror is a film genre that seeks to elicit fear or disgust in its audience for entertainment purposes. Horror films often explore dark subject matter and may deal with transgressive topics or themes. Broad elements include monsters, apocalyptic events, and religious or folk beliefs.
That rules out Minion movies |
