A bit like Autumn Watch.

Is your local postie still wearing shorts? Or have they resorted to wearing trousers?

I saw two this morning, both still in shorts.

If you're a postie, please feel free to contribute!

Pretty sure it's company policy, led by the senior management and shareholders to ensure than they can't hide undelivered, missing post by hiding it down their trouser legs.

Hahaha

Uniform choice is optional. There is no company policy stating shorts must be worn. I have been a postie 19 years and never once worn shorts

Posties are grown in tanks and genetically designed to withstand temperatures lower than - 50

Easier to dry your when it gets wet and makes you walk faster when it’s cold!

And to get compliments on your calf’s obviously

I dated a postie.

He claims its a competition to see who lasts the longest in shorts

It's actually a cost cutting measure.

Less material in shorts therefore lower cost and more profit for the shareholders.

Same logic as why printing your own postage labels is barely cheaper than using stamps. Makes the company more money.
