What’s the age cut off? Can it be 50? Then I can be the fresh young meat of the group. And it’s been a long time since I’ve been able to say that!!

Personally we wouldn't really be interested. A forum thread for people interested in genuinely interacting with people over a certain age regardless of their age would be of more interest to us

Not a bad idea, I would like to have an age holiday where no-one has their age displayed for a month just to see how many people become interested in you without that age barrier in their filters. It would be nice to not be discounted on your age, I can handle being rejected for having a face fit for radio but the age filter is not very just.

Why isn't it just?

just an opinion, "if I indeed can have one", sometimes I look at a profile then don't wink or message due to being out of their age range only to get a wink or message as they have chosen to, this is of course very nice but also proves the age filter would have prevented a match in a search and that the age didn't matter as it's not a marker of how old age is percieved, many men on here look younger than their age but would not be within a lot of peoples filters. I fully appreciate it's someones perogative to use the filters but they ca sometimes count out someone they may actualy be interested in. Sorry for the long attempt at an explaination of my comment but sometimes to come accross corretly you need detail to prevent upsetting folk.

Exactly. I think it is important to listen to opinions from all ages.

What about if my physical age is over 50, but my mental age is under 50?

Lol, I'm 67 and quite often act like I'm 7 so I'm told by my family, very often.

Age as we are told quite often is just a number, your personality when you are with someone is far more important
