"Or body shop camomile make up remover, that's really good. Not oily.
Thank you. Micellar water isn't doing the trick "
Try the Garnier hyalsuronic one (green top). I use it and takes everything off. |

If you don't like oil and are in a pinch try moisturiser (be careful not to get it in your eye) or baby shampoo.
If you're really struggling maybe try applying more normal mascara on top to re-wet it and then remove it immediately, and see if the WP comes off with it? That's what I do with nail polish when I run out of remover ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Joking aside, what waterproof mascara do you/OP/all use?
Recently I was asked, as a favour, to pick up some mascara for someone. However, I was hastily advised by the sales weasel to go for the "BADgal BANG! Waterproof Mascara" at the Benefit™ counter.
I've subsequently told three other people about this who have all agreed that it's a fantastic product.
[And no, I don't wear mascara on the weekends!! ] |

I've not used the waterproof version, but the regular one is incredible. Makes me look like I have false lashes. |

I use Clinique take the day off cleansing balm. Make up even waterproof mascara comes off with one wipe. I wouldn't use anything else now. It is a little bit greasy so I also use the cleansing tonic after. |

"If I may be equally unhelpful: Kärcher pressure washer, on the highest PSI setting.
I think that would dislodge a couple of eyeballs
He uses it when he's constipated "

Which is quite often. Allegedly. |

"Liz Earle cleanse and polish
My budget won't run to that but Aldi do a very good copy of the not cloth cleanser "
You need to get yourself down to Aldi
I know what you mean about oily though, I hate anything like that generally ![](/icons/s/2/cute.gif) |

"What do you use to remove it?
"
I wear waterproof mascara every day.
I use an oil-based remover, then a cream/lotion-based remover and then the micellar water and my normal face wash. Letting the remover soak for a minute or two might help also.
I've used the Boots lotion before and that is good. |

I use Raven’s face wash exfoliate- it’s really nice, oily but light. You put a small amount on, do whole face then rinse off, has an orangy scent, leaves your skin nice and soft |

Face Halo and water.
You don’t need anything else, just wet it, hold it against your lashes for a few seconds do they’re nice and wet, then a bit of a rub. Off it comes! You can wash the face halo and reuse. No lotions needed |

"Dear OP, did you have any luck? Or did you succumb to the "pressure washer" suggestion?
"
I did have some luck. A tiny pharmacy close by had some make up remover wipes that do the trick. Once I've exhausted their supply I'm going to move to the pressure washer option ![](/icons/s/cool.gif) |

Yes. I tried face hall just to see what the fuss was about and now I wouldn’t go back. Plus it saves a fortune in oils and lotions |

I don’t no, just the halo and water. Once a week I put on Elemis face balm as a mask and wash it off with a flannel. That’s it. I know some people with problem skin do use cleansers before or after the halo but I have no need. |

"Coconut oil or a soft balm cleanser. And I hold a warm cloth to my eye for a few seconds because it does make a difference."
I can never seem to remove it all with an ordinary cleanser. I always wake next morning with panda eyes. |

Yes I really recommend trying one. Just make sure you let your waterproof makeup really wet before you start rubbing |

"Just get your lashes tinted.
Much easier"
I did have that done once by as a model for a friend who was training. She got some on my skin and I had to go about with a blob of tint under my eye until it wore off |

Oops. But it is a better option. I always seem to get mascara on my contact lenses or brush in eye. So i dont wear any now. It is safer! |

I recently had surgery on my eye and I'm a little sensitive to anyone else touching it. It's one of the reasons I want to be sure of removing all my make up too...now I can finally wear it again ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

I'm supposed to curl my lashes and apply waterproof mascara to stop my lashes from curling inwards and scratching my cornea. Yes the opticians told me so.
I use a mascara guard and a 10 x magnification mirror and lift my slightly hooded lid up and look down into the mirror. If I try putting it on without the guard in the bathroom mirror over the since yup...mascara on the eyeballs.
I'm too scared to get them permanently curled. |

"[Removed by poster at 08/11/22 20:32:00]"
Clinique take the day off balm only teeny bit needed.
Apparently Aldi and Primark do a version that is good but I haven’t tried it.
I use Estée Lauder double wear mascara and double wear gel eyeliner as they are sweat proof, water proof etc and didn’t even budge with a full ‘facial’ lol!
But take the day off a little amount and wipes off brilliantly |
