What would you have in it?

Would you have a theme?

Would there be games?

What would you call it?

I just saw one advertised that has computer games, while you drink. That’s quite different, but sounds fun.

Yeah, I’d open it somewhere trendy, call all my beers and food “artisan” and treble the price. The Hipsters will lap it up.

No this ones different. I have been to arcade club and that is definitely good. But I think this is in town and you rent the console booths. It’s called pixel bar.

What really annoys me are prices on menus that just say 9 or 7 or 12. No £ in front

I'd love to have old fashioned, giant retro games in my bar. Ones like Buckaroo, Hungry Hippos, Operation etc. No wi fi availability, taking pubs back to when they were fun.... drinks, conversation and laughs.

What about a Pixie bar ? The seats could be toadstools and the staff wear soft felt boots and have pointy ears.

Realistically.... what are the chances of all the bits making it back in the box at closing time

Deposits would have to be paid to make sure they do?

Tonypandy.

Want a bar that serves good beer and bourbon without the poncy prices.

Big log fire in winter, outdoor area in summer.

Free jukebox.

But more importantly free tea, coffee and Toast. Have big table with toaster, kettles, tea bags and instant coffee.

Called The Warm As Toast bar (TWATs)

Blind date bar. I haven't worked out the logistics yet, obviously I'll need some robot dolls and outsource lady talk to someone in India to account for the male imbalance in customers...

There's a really cool bar I know that has shelves of all these games dotted around for you to play. Sounds great, but exactly this, I took a date once and we had the most disappointing game of kerplunk ever.... basically they were all just decorations for ambience, none were playable...

Titz Towers, North Notts

It would be somewhere classy, with lots of leopard print on the staff

Classy and leopard print in the same sentence? Is there such a thing?

You could open a chocolate themed bar?

They could do chocolate based alcoholic drinks, it could look like willy wonkas chocolate factory and have chocolate fondues and be choc full of cocolatey goodness?

Proper old school independent boozer where people are encouraged to talk and not stare at their mobile phones. Guinness, Carling, Modelo, and all of the same beers you find elsewhere would not be served. This country has so many outstanding breweries that never get a chance. Large selection of whisky from Scotland, Japan, USA. No white labeled wines from whatever warehouse.. all handpicked from wineries around the globe. Good tequila selection as well. Sorry, no Gin.

Maybe a sex club upstairs as well.

Conventional alcohol bar, plus cocktails, Coffee Bar (okay, and tea, hot chocolate), cakes and light savouries only.

Video games room, chillout room, pipe range, small cinema showing whatever I say. Sports channels verboten!

'FOALMA'
