"Michael McIntyre "
All day, he laughs at his own words so much to stretch out his routine, it's like he's copying Billy Connolly but forgetting to add actually funny stuff between his own chuckling |

Nish Kumar
Russel Brand
Allan Carr
Ricky Gervais
Lenny Henry (used to be ok but plays the race card too much now)
Russell Kane (ok in very small doses)
Frankie Boyle (used to be really good, but just tries to shock now which isn't funny)
John Bishop (too drole, and his voice grates)
Harry Hill (thinks he's better than he is)
Chubby Brown (well past his sell by date)
There's probably more......

Steven K Amos
Tom Allen
James Corden
Miranda Hart

I could go on and on … but hey, humour is subjective, some people will find them hilarious and you know what? That’s fine! .. |

"I don’t even know half the names on this thread, are they not mainstream or am I totally out of touch. "
You need to watch more panel shows on Dave. Same old names used in rotation .. |

A comedian might not be to your taste, but can still be funny for lots of other people.
I go to see a lot of live comedy and I'm constantly amazed at the talent out there. Most of which are comparatively unknown outside the industry.
Scott Bennett, Lindsey Santoro, Jeff Innocent, Diane Spencer, Andrew Bird, Freddy Quinne, Peter Brush, David Eagle - all of these are fantastically talented. |

Good shouts. Both talented. Andrew Lawrence managed to make himself unbookable, though. He has a deep streak of self-destruction. |

Much to the disgust of his father, who I've known very well for many, many years, I just can't stand John Kearns.
Most of my hate list have already been mentioned, but the one at the top has to be Russell Brand. So regret not colliding with him harder so he'd have gone over the Embankment! |

It's a good job we have so many comedians to cater for the wide and varied tastes we have in this country.
Hopefully the days are gone where we all sit in front of an idiot box that told us what was funny, with a dubbed track to remind us when to laugh. |

I had a good long think about who the complete comedian might be.
The Big Yin.
Billy Connelly.
Consistently funny for a very long time amidst contentious times. |

I loved Sean so much on 8 out of 10 cats. Carrot in a box will be forever one of the greatest few moments of television.
As John said, "If there's no carrot in that box, you are a genius."That he was. |
