A lot to choose from,
But It has to be my 1964 Austin Mini 970 Cooper S, only a limited number were made as Homologation specials. Kept it for a year or so the traded it for a 1275 Cooper S.
One 970cc model recently changed hands for in excess of £60k. |

My highly modified Sierra Cosworth. I sold it in a fit of rage and the guy who bought it destroyed it on a track day 3 months later.
I also regret selling my Alfa GTV V6. |

"A VW Corrado VR6 and an Alfa 156GTA both rare and both superb. ???????
The GTA's are getting good money now too."
Moment of insanity. They still look unreal too and the interior knocks the socks off many cars now. ?????? |

Alfa always fitted great seats. I had a limited edition GT and the seats were so supportive and comfortable. |

Many of my cars...
My metro gti.. was immaculate and such fun on the track... clio 172 phase 1 for same reason as the metro
My 156 v6 alfa ( reason. It was a v6 alfa, so lovely inside and sounded lovely)..
Type r scooby... it was awesome. Totally mental and confused people who would argue if it was a p1 or not .. it sounded lovely and fastest thing on 2 or 4 wheels I've ever owned..
My series 1 rs turbo cabriolet again was immaculate....
By the same reasons of regret I refuse to sell either of my project alfas... they are work in progress and I know 5 years time I'd regret it |

"1972 VW Beetle closely followed by my 02 plate Saxo VTS. Sad times."
I had a couple of VTS’s back in the early 00’s. The blue one I had I modified, slammed, chipped, alloys, exhaust. Went like stink, only 850kg and was running 170bhp. The strength of a crisp packet but so much fun. |

My mini. (And another but I’ll stick to my mini)
The same car I had is currently in a car lot with a price tag of 10k. Ffs, I bought it for 60£ and sold it for £100
Of course the one I saw and asked about is in very good condition. Mine you had to pump the brakes to stop when I flogged it, but I’d have had 30 yrs to have worked on that if I had kept it all this time. |

Seats..body..engine..wheels it was on a q plate though too. But it did say Rs turbo cabriolet on the log book. No idea where it is now |

Porsche 911SC, sold to pay a divorce. Porsche 911 993, sold to pay a divorce...Mmm trending. The 993 increased value by £45k in 10 years. Gorgeous to drive, lots of hours on track; I miss her so much. But I also miss the money I had to part with. |

The 900 Turbo was the car that made me a petrolhead."

I have had some great cars. I wish I put my Mk.3 Supra in the lock up. It was mint.
I didn't.
My favourite cat I have ever owned wad a FIAT. A Sisley Panda. It had a pathetic 1 litre engine that could pull anything. Selectable 4wd that was unstoppable. Bull bars, jacked up suspension and off road tyres. It was slow, but it got kudos. |

Had a Vauxhall Astra GTE in late 80's and very early 90's.
It was an insane car! It only had 4 gears and could do nearly 100mph in 3rd (er... so I heard once... a rumour anyway ) yet it was better than most 4x4's in the snow.
All my other cars since have never quite matched that superbeast! |

My first car was a mk1 escort . Wanted something with more mod cons as younger people did ,so sold it for £400.
Had my mk 4 r23 golf . 45k on the clock, then got Turbo charged .
Complete animal . Unfortunately had to get rid of 1 of the toys for a work van . Still got my 72 bug . She won’t go anywhere .
Unfortunately we can’t have everything . |

I get attached to cars and don't tend to swap and change so I still own my mk3 VR6 I had from my mid twenties...ibe just made other additions to the fleet since.
One car I don't regret selling rather I regret who I sold it too was A mint vento VR6. I bought the car purely to turn a profit but sold it to a mate who wrote it off within a couple of hours of getting the keys |

It broke my heart to have to sell my E30 M3 that I said I’d keep for ever. Also E30 318is track day car I’d fitted with E30 M3 Engine & running gear. Mk2 Escort full works spec fitted with 2.4 n/a Cosworth engine (rally car). MK1 Escort Mexico big steel arches (rally car) Sierra 2.9 4x4 best car ever in snow. Plus many more |

I wouldn't say regret but I'd love to have been in a position to keep some of the cars and bikes I've had over the years and still have the others too!
My VW T4 camper though, that'd come in quite handy right now. Take off to southern Spain for 6 months? Yes please! |

"2010 RS6 - oh my days…. OMG! biggest regret ever, the car was perfect!
Short trips - yep
IKEA runs - yep
Long distance - yep
Tip run - yep
Destroying youngsters at traffic lights - yep "
Estate or saloon? I'm guessing estate. Beast of a motor but I wouldn't want to be feeding that petrol these days
Had an entertaining spirited drive against one of these in my Aristo. I don't think they were expecting me to pull away from them |

One of the last 1275gt's to roll off the line, pretty much pulled it apart and restored it- including top end engine rebuild running a pair of 1 3/4 SU carbs off a maxi and a medium profile race cam with a match flow 3 branch manifold exhaust system. Was so quick it was a struggle to change gear with your foot down.
Sold it for £1400 just before the announcement of the new Mini coming out...current cars in that condition go for upwards of £20k
Also wish i could have kept my Jag. It was a shit heap but wonderfully quick with the most gorgeous leather interior. Way too expensive to restore and way out of my mechanical knowledge to do it. 22mpg if you played nice- about 6mpg when you booted it! (sold it to a guy who broke it to build an AC Cobra replica)- but i'm pretty sure i could have found a decent enough story to get Car SOS on the case for me |

My lovely little Renault 5. I inherited a car when my dad died so took it to the scrap yard as I couldn’t sell it. But it had such sentimental value, and I was already in a sad place that I just couldn’t handle it being crushed…so I went to the yard the next day and bought it back! Ended up giving it to a colleagues son to fix up…so a happier ending! |

I’d like to say my first car, as it gave me the opportunity and independence, but in all honesty none of them. They served a purpose, carried me well, but in the end it was better to change when I did. |

Austin Healey 3000 - Lovely balanced car.
Lotus Cortina - Cornering with one wheel in the air was real fun.
and
4.5 litre V8 Daimler hearse - If you clamped down the fluid flywheel it went like Hell. Like most if its occupants I guess. |

Had so many cars I regret letting go if, but if I hadn't I wouldn't have got the next one.
Loads of minis a cavalier gt
I loved the crysler sunbeam and went all over with it.
A rover SD1 3.5 manual that could hit 70 in first gear (so perfect a car)
Fiat brava with a gas kit on it mmmm
Alfa 156 2ltr
Saab 93 2.2 l never should have sold
MG metro that was awesome
A smart fortwo was like a rollerskate and stuck to the road like my minis.
Now on a leaf and it's brilliant but I'm still looking at more. |

For me it was my Shogun 7 seater, bought it from new and had it for 7 years.
It was a bouncy ride with its high profile tyres and not very fast but it would go anywhere off road. Pulled a 3 ton trailer and if you took the back seats it was like a van! Now drive an Audi A6 which is a lovely car but I do miss the Shogun! |

Paper Town Central, Essex. |
My Talbot Sunbeam Lotus.
Or rather, our.
Used to rally and the driver flipped it and ran it nose on into a tree.
Not fun when you're upside down with a gearbox by your right knee.
So we flogged it.
Worth serious money now. Its still competing too. |

My first ever car even I passed my test at 17 was a MK1 Ford Es cort RS Mexico. Absolutely loved it .It had a roll cage ,4 big Cibbies on the front twin carbs . Had it for 5 years . If I knew back then how much they sell for now, I would have mothballed it in my garage for 20 years ,and sold it for a fortune now. |

My Mk2 VW Golf.
It had only had one owner before me and we both looked after it.
It only had a 1.3litre engine, but I loved it.
I bought a newer VW golf with a 1.6l engine, but it was never the same and the idiot who bought my car crashed it and wrote it off within a month.

I've owned alot but for me the two that stand out are my 1965 split screen camper which I sold as a student and before the prices went crazy, and the other car was my last porsche 914 that was stunning.
Would buy both back now but probably couldn't afford either! |

Late Mini 1275GT, pretty much a bare metal resto with some seriously tasty engine mods, so it chucked you back in the seat. Sold before the new mini was announced and prices were low, could probably trade it in for a decent Porsche 911 if I had it now |
