When l first cracked the problem of getting perfect soft boiled eggs they took 2min 30sec ,now l have to take them off the boil at 2min.
Are eggs getting smaller or gas not as hot as it used to be? |

This is what happens when we abandon the EU international standards organisation. Someone in Whitehall makes a typo when transcribing the document responsible for the boiling point of water, and boom! your eggs instantly become hard boiled instead of soft. We desperately need better quality of proof reading in the department that controls the standards for physical laws. |

The replacement gas isn't as hot as the Russian gas which we are being deprived. |

Did you used to put egg in cold water and bring to the boil ? Do you now put egg in hot water and bring to the boil ? Were you in a different country, climate, season ....? Have you bought titchy eggs ?
