"Have you had your first mince pie??
How do you likes yours??"
First one? What about second breakfast? Elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? She knows about them, doesn't she?
(I've had a whole box of them already)
As to how they're eaten, well, the most scrumpticious method of devouring them is a cold pie/hot custard combination but in an emergency I'll settle for cold pie with double cream, and in dire circumstances I'll just eat the thing straight out of the box.

Way back when I used to eat carbs, Lime Tree Pantry mince pies were the ultimate in perfect pie. Proper shortcrust pastry and not too much filling.
I may consider loosing a toe for one of those pies. |

I haven't had one yet this year and I probably won't for another week or two yet.
This Christmas is going to be about spending time with my family and taking a break. It's not going to be an eating fest because I'm aiming to keep my weight steady and get back on my diet after New Year.
I have had a couple of Christmas tubes of jelly tots and pink Smarties over the past few weeks though. |

To call itself a Mince Pie, should be a contravention of the Trades Description Act.
There's no Mince in them at all!
Just some sweet, sickly, yucky, vomit inducing gunk!
Now, Scotch Pies filed with Mince are far better! |

The OH loves them and we have had them in the house for a couple of weeks. She has one daily with a cuppa.
I can take or leave them |
