Telford

Is anyone else going to the Rocky Horror Show at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry this week? It's on from 4-8 October. We're going on the last night.

Final elements of the outfit acquired. (The only time you'll see me wearing a pearl necklace)

Yeah I go a lot to see the show (currently booked for Coventry, Cheltenham, Malvern and Birmingham....all double headers ) and they don't generally allow those props in anymore due to health and safety reasons (the actors could slip if they got on the stage etc) we take glow sticks for 'there's a light'.

Yes, I’m going on the Saturday but not dressing up. Never seen the show and only seen the time warp video, so looking forward to it as a newbie.

If you want any tips on what to expect let me know. It's a very interactive experience and there will be lots of people dressed up and lots of shout outs during the show

A Virgin! How delightful

You don't have to dress up. It's always a personal choice. The only things no one should ever wear to Rocky Horror are a suit or an anorak, but I'm guessing neither feature in your wardrobe.

Make sure you leave plenty of time to get into the car park. Was in that queue for a while on Friday!

If it wasn't for the outfit, I'd walk there. It's only about a mile.

I'm so excited!

New narrator as well for a few shows but it's not someone I have heard of. He is going to be the narrator when they go to Milan as well.

As a newbie to The Rocky Horror Show, should I watch the film beforehand or let it be a surprise? Or should I listen to the soundtrack? I’m undecided!

I'd say listen to the soundtrack for sure but then pretty much all I listen to in the car is musical soundtracks lol

the film is a little different to the show just because they often are. It's a great fun film...just a little odd in parts lol but we don't mind odd

What ever you do just going along and enjoy it. The audience participation is a great addition to the night and an integral part of the show now. I've been asked a few times if I'm part of the cast planted in the audience

Absolutely! And I’m sure we shared a smile at the end - I was with a friend who was Magenta as the maid and I was Janet in ripped petticoat and lab coat by the merch stall You looked splendiferous.

Ah brilliant! We were up in the circle but will book stalls next time. Was the loud Frank a deliberate warm up act or an enthusiastic fan too?

Also wondering where you can learn the call back lines?

No he is just loud but does create an atmosphere lol

There are shout out lists on some websites (timewarp fanclub I think has some) but some are American and quite old. They do tend to evolve depending on the big news items at the time (Windsor castle/prince Andrew/2 metres back etc) so the real answer is to just go see it more often

First time in a very long time I've seen cards be thrown during 'im going home'. As mentioned previously, physical props like that are often not allowed in these days.
