Lol now don't get the wrong idea, who the fook is in charge of screwfix cos they deffo need a rear end shafting for removing the catalogues from the shop and replacing them with some fooking touch screen, took them half an hour to track down a 16 amp plug after trying to bullshit me they don't do them, then they didn't find it until one of them went out the back and picked one up then came back and eventually discovered you got look under e plug for fooks sake, just one example. Surely they have carried out research and found out its mainly dinosaurs doing most of the work and have got not enough time left to be pratting about with these systems. Probably designed by some high flying university graduate who if they picked up a saw would not know which side of the blade to use. Thank goodness for tool station, but bring back the the free coffee machine lol.

Personally I love screwfix.

I bought an oscillating tool in 2018 and I rag the fuvk out of it, burn it out within 6-9 months, and return it under the 1 year warranty for a new one

I’m on my 7th or 8th one now

The problem isn’t they don’t know how to work it

The problem is they cheaped out on hardware

And the things so slow

Employee would rather just not use them

It’s the same with Argos

And Tesco self service

End up needing to hit the button 4-5 times before it will even do anything then you got a 5 minute wait on the next screen loading in

Again Because they cheaped on the computer that it uses

Use your phone, never go to anywhere like that hoping it’s in stock

I don’t I just ordered online but it is true in what I am saying

They cheap out on the computer that is use witch makes it slow and cumbersome

For the amount off money they make they can afford to put decent systems in

They don’t want you in store, taking up staff time with queries and checks and disappointing you when it’s not in stock, having a slightly more irritating computer than your own is a feature not a bug, making you do the lions shar of customer service yourself on your own kit in your own time and space.

Maidstone

Oh nooo ... No more catalogue?

My ex (builder) used to love the new editions, and would disappear into the loo with one... "It's me porn mag" he used to laugh, rubbing his thighs and his Benny Hill smirk...
