"To be honest this is now an open mic session. I've got to go to bed soon..."

I should have gone to bed hours ago. Work tomorrow. Instead, I sit on my terrible sofa, occasionally drifting into a sleep which refreshes nothing but the crick in my neck.

Best of the rest is a diluted victory, but still better than anything that's gone before.

I'll be the Franklin, if I may. I am used to close-up photography of small things.

I'm from Lanarkshire and I do enjoy a good peaty whisky.. My preference would probably be the Ardbeg Uigeadail or the Port Askaig 15 Year Old Sherry Cask ..

My kind of whiskies! Have you tried the Ardbeg Corryvreckan? Stunning.

Ok. In homage to Jim's SpotifySurprise™, I'm streaming Louis' La Vie En Rose. ¶

You can be Franklin. And besides, a diluted victory is a victory nonetheless.

I envy you all. I don't drink whiskey (or whisky). I'm a lover of Gin. I'm a lover too. But it's always a gin before the sin.

However, I do collect and drink Vintage Port and Port in general. It's very more-ish.

Oh, same. A glass of 20-year old Tawny, or better yet a Taylor's or Fonseca '85, is a noble way to greet Morpheus.

Whisky is the way forward for you then Mr Nero. A good whisky wont depreciate in value. If you don't drink it then its a no brainer as its in safe hands. The amount of good whisky I've pissed up a wall makes me sick.

I am willing to be educated though. As long as one of the sexy ladies here is sitting alongside...or on my lap.

I agree, wholeheartedly. Fonseca 85/87.. also Gould Campbell 10 year old and Smith Woodhouse 1984.

I have a Dow's Vintage 1977. It's ready to drink... apparently. But some say "lay low" for a while longer.

I'm a Vintage 1978, and perhaps continuing to lay low would have been the best advice for me, too. Yet here I am, still not d*unk.

Always is mate. Few months ago during a moment of pure bravado trying to impress my father inlaw. I opened a 12yr old macallan double cask for the sake of two nips each. Discontinued in 2018. Would be worth a fortune in a few years. Worthless now. Woke up in morning to open bottle sitting in kitchen. Absolute instant regret.

Only one way to find out. What will you have? Laphroaig unfiltered, perhaps, would be appropriate.

Certainly makes you frisky. That much is true. How affective the friskiness is depends on the amount you have consumed lol

I shall defer that to the whiskey evangelists on this thread.

Gin, however, will entice your libido uncontrollably. But then I'm bias....and making all this up.
