"I read at the weekend two of his chefs were killed in a taxi in Hong Kong.
Ohhhhhhhhhh nooooo "
Sorry to digress from the point of the thread. Thought you'd want to read this from the ITV website.
Two chefs from Heston Blumenthal's Michelin-starred restaurant The Fat Duck who died in a road accident in Hong Kong have been named.
Briton Jorge Herrera, 34, and Carl Magnus Lindgren, known as Magnus, 30, from Sweden, were killed in the incident involving their taxi and two double decker buses.
Yesterday the restaurant said in a statement: "They were both senior members and great and dear friends. Two uniquely talented young chefs that were loved by everyone who worked with them. They will be sadly and deeply missed."
A spokeswoman added: "Heston is absolutely devastated by this tragedy and so is his tight knit team."
A Hong Kong Police Force spokesman confirmed that three men died in the accident and 56 people were injured with the casualties ranging in age from seven months to 90 years.
He said that the first bus hit two private cars at the junction of Chai Wan Road and A Kung Ngam Road before crossing into the oncoming carriageway.
He added: "It then rammed on to a taxi and a bus which were travelling uphill. The taxi was trapped between the two buses.
"After the impact, the 53-year-old taxi driver and two foreign male passengers of the taxi, aged 30 and 34, were trapped inside the compartment and were rescued by firemen.
"Sustaining serious injuries, they were rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital in unconscious state where they were later certified dead."
The 57-year-old bus driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and was released on police bail. |

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
"There was a question on a comedy quiz program which showed snippets of a series of pics with Heston, Michael Stipe (REM) & Moby & the contestants had to count how many times his face appeared. "
That was Celebrity Juice and I got it right!
Tragedy aside, I think Heston is a cock. His wife funded his career and his restaurant and as soon as he got famous he dumped her. Also watching him try and do a menu for Little Chef was hilarious. Lorry drivers trying to work out what to do with an Earl Grey fumed fried egg? |

"He is making a pie and a pint... biggie style.. I have to say I so want to shag Heston... "
As a former chef I can tell you Heston truly is a genius. He completely turned around the way we thought about food and how it should be cooked. He has influenced a lot of chefs around the world including he Michelin starred ones.
However his current series about making things but a lot bigger than normal is just silly. He is running out of good ideas for his TV programmes and clutching at straws. |
