Modern, has to be Whispering A Prayer by Steve Vai.
Classical, Rachmaninoff's 3rd.
I like a lot of instrumentals from many genres, probably too many to list... |

"Sexy and soxy... those wold be my other number ones "
Yeah Affro ,,,it's frick'in impossible to pick just one....
Right now I’m totally enraptured with the melodic wordless singing on Ennio Morricone's theme from “Once upon a time in the West” which leaves me breathless every-time I listen to it….
awesome it is...….

Its quite ironic films with such horrific subject matter can be associated with such beautiful sound-tracks…….
The theme from Black Hawk Down Featuring Denez Prigent & Lisa Gerrard is stunning…
As is John Williams “Hymn for the fallen” in "Saving Private Ryan"

Yes love this!
OP I have so many, I am not sure I could choose just one!"
You should come see one of my bands, we do a rock version of the Canon, always goes down well, even with the non-muso's |

Grow Your Own by the Small Faces always makes my toes tap, but Green Onions was a great call by somebody earlier too.
Ooh, just thought of another, Bert's Apple Crumble by the Quik. |

Howard Shore, dude. Love his stuff from LOTR. Clint Mansell, James Horner, Hans Zimmer are bloody awesome, too |

the Andrew Loog Oldham Orchestral version of the rolling stones song "the last time".
it sounds nothing like the rolling stones song it's based around (probably a good thing, not my fav rolling stones song!) definitely a great instrumental version though. |
