What's something that you were advised (maybe by multiple people) not to do but you're so glad you went and did it anyway?

Trusted my gut in relationships. Multiple experiences there

So many people will say it’s all in your head, your being paranoid, your overthinking it

Every single time. My gut is right. Don’t ignore it

I have a defiant streak that would do it when told not to...

I like being given opinions and having the choice of whether I want to use/do those opinions

Went blonde. I was unsure myself to be honest, but telling me no clinched my decision

Never looked back

Bought the house I live in now. It had been on the market for ages and was cluttered and needed alot of work. There were houses on the market at the same time which were in walk in condition. People tried to put me off buying my house but I fell in love with it the minute I walked through the door. It was large, quirky and in a great location. I have worked hard to get it how I want but now I sit back and am so glad I followed my instincts.

Get engaged as young as I was. I was advised against it. I ignored them and have no regrets.

Meet and fall in love with someone totally out of our scene ( not fabs or swing ) back in the day .

Now I have a beautiful daughter .

I very rarely do as I am told, lol.

I was told long distance relationships never work. I lived 160 miles away from my wife when we met. How wrong they were!
