"Cancelled my TV license so don't watch anything.
Does that make me atypical?
There’s always one
Netflix? Any other subscription channel that is not part of the license fee "
There is . Netflix and Amazon Prime, though I'm cancelling the former as their original programming is less and less appealing.
Just the odd movie now and again. |

Sometimes I wonder if we have too much choice, if there is such a thing, but there are some films I would just watch repeatedly. |

Free streaming? Is that a thing? "
Yes it is that
I use a website that’s laid out like a Netflix type thing for tv shows and movies
And then another website for watching live stuff

You can get overwhelmed with too much choice I agree.
I could watch the LOTR trilogy every week and not get tired |

I went to see them all at the cinema and fell asleep during each one for a good half an hour and I couldn’t really tell I had missed anything it’s true that ^
I did enjoy them though, despite the nap |

I’ve never seen Father Ted, or Phoenix Nights.
There’s not enough comedy around, so good choices |

the one thing i learnt with downloading/streaming is theres alot more out there, Than the restrictive only released in the uk reference not released in your district.
I only bought what I wanted to buy so bought more than the released uk tittles.
DS9 you will be losing soon as its going back to the comapnay that made it on there servers so you have to pay again to watch it as prime and netflix are losing titles left right and center. |

Yes, I can relate to that. I like Tom Hanks and follow his film trail, wherever it may lead |

The original one is the only one I'm aware of. I have it on DVD**.
It still hasn't lost its charm.
[** If anyone is reading this thread in a year's time a DVD was a form of data medium for rich audio video]

It’s a good job you clarified the last part
I’m sure there’s a 1980’s version. I like the original with Gregory Peck.

It is a really great comfort watch. I try to give myself a few years break from Frasier because I'd hate to spoil it for myself through overfamilliarity. But if I'm flicking and it's on I'll watch til the end. And each episode is actually *about* something, which is rare for sitcoms. |
