I love both! First preference is to share cooking then I do washing up.

I am one of those cooks that enjoys washing up as I go along when I can. It also leaves a bit less for the other person to wash. Which means they can sort dessert & coffees.

Take away and the dishwasher.

Definitely wash up because ultimately you can't trust anyone else to sufficiently pre-rinse before putting the stuff in the dishwasher.

Washing up isn't my favourite job, but it's a good trade off for having my dinner cooked for me...although himself somehow manages to use every pot, pan and utensil he can find while cooking, and spreads the mess around the entire kitchen I think he just likes seeing me do housework

Washing up, as it's not so much of a disaster if something goes wrong

Both should be 50/50

Nothings more fun that cooking together, eating together, and washing up together

Washing Up? I know the country is in a bad way and all the strikes remind people of the miserable 70’s but do none of you have dishwashers?

You’ll be talking about carpet sweepers and standing up for the national anthem when BBC (not that bbc) 1 ends it’s transmission at 11:30pm

I prefer to cool BTW

Washing up, I'm a terrible cook in the grand scheme of things, but a decent enough kitchen maid. And on the assumption that the cooking was a joint effort, I'll wash rather than dry and put away too....

I prefer to cook, that’s actually fun for me whereas washing up is the chore but for the sake of harmony I’m happy to do either.

I cook and wash up. And if there's anything remaining at the end of the evening I will simply load it into the dishwasher.....and then forget to turn it on.

I'd say I was more of a cook if given the choice, but I don't mind cleaning up afterwards either.

I clean up as I’m cooking so there’s little to do after, and I have a cleaner ! but if someone’s offering I’d rather they clean than cook

Cook.

Washing up would entail.

1. Rubbish in the bin.

2. Wiping surfaces

3. Washing dishes by hand or dishwasher

4 Putting clean dishes away

Either but I tend to clear up as I'm cooking so there's not so much to do after anyway. Also won't say no to having dinner cooked for me

Your eagerness for phallus is admirable, however we are talking about food and washing up.
