Or a recommendation you've made - do you start internally freaking out? I dish it out all the time but can't take the pressure of someone actually following through   |

why not be a policeman"!.
Years and years later in the outskirts of a nearby town,20 miles away,,while I was on a ladder ..a police car pulled up ..he got out and said 'hi, I took your advice '!  |

Someone once went on a trip to Durdle Door because I said it was nice. Luckily they liked it, but I did get heart palpitations when they told me they'd booked it |

Years ago we had a new lad at a rubbish day job I was doing.
This was a crappy place to work and you just felt exploited. So I took him under my wing. I taught him how to walk about with a bit of paper looking concerned and spin that out into 30 minutes of chatting to people. Never going to the loo on your break. Dodging anything that looked as if it was going to get complicated.
He took all of this advice.
He was sacked within 2 weeks for not doing anything. I guess advice without the panache to carry it off isn't as much use |
