Did anyone else find top Gears new series just a tad Dull?? Seemed lacking... More like a visit romania advert this time.. Tourist Information service maybe... |

I think its a ratings thing, there will be a number of people who will watch the first episode in a popular series returning just because its the first of a new series ( perhaps the producers dont need to try as hard/prioritise the better,more interesting content for later in the series once the novelty value of a new series has worn off).
This only happens in popular programs that have a loyal following and doesn't need to "grab" the viewers attention with all the "goodies" in one episode , you see this sometimes in "wannabee" programmes, they load everything into the first episode just to make it seem good, then the budget/ideas rapidly run out. |
