I meant freshly baked bread is heaven.

Not that I like the smell of heaven (not a clue what it smells like there).

I have never smelt a new borne baby, hmmm I might look a bit weird hanging around the maternity ward trying to tick that experience off my to do list

The woodsy bitterness of a mass of bluebells in spring.

The warm horsey hay smell of clean stables.

Opening a very old handbag of my mum's and the hint of old cigarette smoke and tabu perfume which transports me back to my childhood.

I'd forgotten bluebells! Yes, the contrast between the verdancy of the high spring forest, and the endless soft blue waves of bluebells. Perfect. I helped write/put together a lovely book of bluebell poems a couple of years ago, to raise money for disabled children. They have the most perfect balance of sharp and sweet.

My husband's is "Freshly Opened Star Wars Figures".

OK, it's a rather specialist thing, but apparently it's all about the smell of the vinyl they use. Might also explain why he bought me a load of black vinyl fetishwear, too...
