Walking to a fast food outlet or chippy, looking at the menu and putting an order in - carrying it home quickly so it'd still be warm.....
telling everyone to warm the plates and put a brew on .....

I also feel nostalgic about the time I first went to college. The feeling of freedom, independence and standing on the edge of my future is something that I've never felt since. I was 18, it was 1974 and vodka was cheap |

Walking round to a friend's or relative's house.
There were no phones, no e mails and very few buses.
We had to go and TALK FACE 2 FACE.
The upside was we are good at walking. The downside was that there were far more 'unexpected' visitors pre mobile phones. |

Anyone remember a game called Crossfire, you had a ball bearing gun at either end of a game board and had to shoot a ball into the opponents goal.. used to give me wicked blisters on my fingers that .. but I loved it! |

Old busses that used to have a distinctive smell and would get the tits revved out of them to get to 25.
I actually miss smoking in pubs too even though I don’t smoke.
Feeling safe as a child when I played out… I don’t feel that my kids are in any way safe these days.
Proper petrol smell… pre catalytic converter…. Running on carbs.

"Maybe one for plus 50’s.
Playing on my Sinclair spectrum 48K
Waiting 5 minutes for a game, on cassette to load, only for it to crash at the very end. "
Typing in a programme from a magazine, line by line, and it not working. |

You can find scanned copies of those magazines (Sinclair Programs I think it was called!) online.
I’ve still got my Spectrum in the roof, so tempted to get it out one day and re-input those programs! |
