My hotlist is pretty much my "to message" list.
If I see someone I like but want to think about a sensible message, or don't have time then and there I add them to the list. |

Same, people I want to get in touch with, or maybe are on the fence about doing so and am waiting for them to add a new pic or update a profile - essentially it's not a hotlist, it's a pre-checkout shopping basket for messaging... |

I use my hotlist occasionally when there is someone who really catches my eye and would like to, or have reached out to and started chatting with (especially if they aren’t especially local)
This is a category that some lovely ladies on this thread already fall into  |

Usually people I'm chatting to, or people that have messaged me asking to meet but then go quiet, I leave them there for a couple of weeks, then if no contact I take them out |

They have to be hot! And I usually put someone on there when I want to message them but don't have time.
I fully intend to convert my hot list to my friends list, but it doesn't always work that way! |

(Afternoon, you gorgeous bunch! New chap here, hoping you are all having the most splendid afternoon.)
For me, it's a combination of desirability and proximity: that is, someone I find really attractive, balanced with how far away they are. Horny gravity decreases with the square of distance, or something like that.
A (very) few are there just because they make me smile, or gaze longingly, even if our needs/criteria/location in spacetime are all wildly at odds. |

Some on mine are men I like the pics and profile of but live too far away, or they are so good looking I'd never dream of msging them, most of my hotlist is made up of people who put up angry ranty status updates, I love a ranty status update!  |

My hotlist is all those I will never get to meet because they are all straight tens and I’m a solid four, I have messaged a couple and they have replied and been lovely to talk to as well, but mostly too far away as well |

As a couple we use the hotlist as a way of telling each another that we find that particular profile hot. I was at work the other day and the Mrs said check out the hotlist. She had put some hot profiles in the hotlist. |
