I drove 3 hours yesterday and done a 140 mile round trip to meet a woman at a pub of her choice.

Any further and it’s got to be something special
Ie a couple or a woman that a really wanted to meet
But Manchester is only a 3 hour train ride away
And Newcastle is only 1 hour and hafe away on the train
And be down and back the next day in time for Sunday dinner with parents not a problem |

Sir 5 miles due to the ridiculous amount of people in London. I search and I get messages from flipping Newcastle upon Tyne. I prefer people from my local area/borough as at least we can talk about the area if we have nothing else in common.

London is not for the faint of heart. My little pocket area is very green and full of us outdoorsy types. cycling, dog walking, joggers, rowers, five a side footie and tennis. There's a few bowls for the elderly also.

I live in SW south of the river. Tottenham and Hackney and North Lond was never my style. I lived in North Harrow for a few months and I like it there also..again very green. Allotments and the like.
You have to be determined not to let London drive you mad. I live in a small flat with a decent landlord and I cycle to work. I work part time and use the rest of my time to slink around lidls and Aldis looking for bargains. I actually work weekends so I get an extra time and a half and I'm not drinking my life away in bars. My local pub is cheap drinking as half the neighbourhood is on benefits with kids. I treat the pub garden like my garden and the landlady has my spare key. Salt of the eart people.
I probably go down to Zone 1 once a week usually for some special item. I had to take my bike to Covent Garden to be fixed pre-summer.
So I feel less in the rat race of it all. |

The Caribbean is where I am. But I've been to Brighton for the day and a lot of my friends have just gotten out of London/Nottingham for the more off-the-beaten-track beaches. I went to some wonderful beaches in Cornwall which are not accessible to many people so they are rarely overcrowded. Apparently, Wales has the best beaches. The water is too cold in Scarborough, Northumberland. |

I prefer to search myself but I am limited in what I can find due to travel restrictions (mainly time, money is a hindrance. I get alot of people from the north, Scotland and Ireland sending me messages and I'm thinking when realistically I get to meet them)

We are bang in the middle of Cardiff and Swansea which are roughly 20 miles either way, so an ideal distance for us to travel, they are both busy city's with plenty of hotel's and club's we don't have to travel any further than this. |

We tend to keep our search within 40/50 miles when we are having a nose, them being within 5 miles would probably put us off to be honest.
We would and have in fact travelled further to meet people we really hit it off with, especially ones who catch our eye in the forums.
It boils down to the old "we travel for people, not for sex" line.

Realistically, I should be saying 16.09344 km. !0 miles. To travel 100km, as above, would need a very strong attraction.
Also, as I live on the border of London, I don't need the aggro of visiting most places within that area. Finding places to park and even getting to some of them is too much of an obstacle course nowadays. 3 or 4 decades ago it was possible to drive fairly effortlessly to central London after work in time to arrive there as parking restrictions lifted at 6.30pm. Those were the days (and some damned good nights)! |
