my tree has only got baubles, wooden ornaments and lights on, no tinsel or beads.

i can never put tinsel on....it always looks scruffy to me.

i like my tree to look full of ornaments and baubles so am going to buy some ribbon this week and make some nice big bows etc

i did start to knit some ornanments one year so might finish them off to

Mine has twinkly white lights and baubles. No tinsel or beads. Don't like them!

I can't believe you have all got your trees up already! Won't be putting mine up until the week before Christmas day!

Still ummming and arrrhing when to put up.

Between the cats climbing the blooming thing, the dogs wagging their tails in it and the children moving it around.

It never looks the same once it's gone over

Same here but we like a real tree and if it went up now it would be bald by the 25th.

^ this.

I love Xmas, but if I were to put the tree up now I'd have gone off the whole idea by the 25th.

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

I don't usually bother with deccos but have a fibre optic tree, put cards on my chimney breast and doors and a couple of ornaments like a door wreath and a Father Christmas calender. This year, I'm not bothering with the tree as I've had to re-arrange the house to make sure I've a route for my zimmer frame after my operation...when I do put my decs up, it's usually about 2nd week in December

France

It seems that tinsel has had its day...too messy for me and I'm sure my cats would try to eat it and make even more mess.
