If you want to watch the funeral without the commentary from the arbitrary fluff from the likes of Alan Tichmarsh go to the BBC red button channel.

They're currently showing the hearse on its journey to Windsor.

If you can find it, you'd be quite within your rights to do so. Enjoy

Yet you choose to comment on many threads about it. Baffling. Or perhaps masochistic?

Ahh, another thread where only positivity and subordination is allowed.

Yes, it's a good way to vent about how irritating I find the spectacle.

And what exactly have you achieved in your lifetime???

The Queen was deserving of the send off she is having....

You are entitled to your opinion but no need to peddle your grievances here...

But surely if you don't like it, you aren't watching it? How would you know what "the spectacle" was like, unless you were watching? And why watch if you are so anti it?

It's very easy to avoid - watch a film, read a book or go out for a mooch somewhere outdoors or something.

But I don't share your sentiments.

Well, I did my best not to live off the back of the wealth stolen through colonialism and subjugating the peasants.

But I guess the accident of my birth made that a lot more doable.

Also, I have just as much right to express my opinion as you do.

10 days of enforced mourning -- posters everywhere, social media pages and groups posting jingoistic tripe, stores closing. New stories of people arrested for holding up signs...

It's not actually that easy to avoid it.

Is this a new strategy where folk come on a thread they feel like disrupting.

Post random opposing views full of things designed to agitate.

With the desire to get the thread closed by the mods?

Is it a sport to see 'can I do it in 3?'

Please grow up

Did you grow up in the UK or did you make a conscious decision to move to a country that didn't have beneficial structures built off the back of colonialism?

The Queen's passing hasn't intruded on my life at all, since it occurred. I have chosen to open news articles, to watch TV and to travel to London over the weekend, but had I not done those things voluntarily, I could have happily continued my life, unmølested.

I do feel sorry for those living and working in the areas of central London that have been closed, because they definitely haven't been able to avoid it, if they so wish. However, living and working in the city where the Parliament and Head of State are based does bring these issues.

I assumed you have forgone using the NHS as it may have benefited from the riches of the UKs colonial past. Where you I course were born by mistake of birth.

Yes, because everyone living in a republic is surviving appalling conditions.

No point in calling him fit to bust when he prob wouldn't have spoken again if people weren't asking him too.

Then I might make a suggestion....if you don't like how the country is run, and obviously feel soooo strongly about. Vote with your feet.

Thats two or three threads youve disrupted with anti monarchy spew.

On a day that most normal people (even though not staunch royalists) acknowledge the importance of the event have paid respects can you give it a rest ?

Start your own thread Rather than trying to derail everybody else's.

For someone that claims not to be interested in everything that's happening today you seem to be commenting a lot on the threads about the funeral.

Its arguable that using the NHS and other good quality services which could be linked to the profits and work forces resulting from colonialism isn't doing your best.

I'm just being an ass nevermind.
