So the neighbour is not a monarchist I’m guessing as he started drilling in his conservatory during the two minutes silence after the funeral and was hammering most of the way through it. Even so the Queen would’ve told me to love my neighbour. I’m no monarchist myself but she understood that good manners grease the wheels of human communication. She is on her way home as we speak. May she rest in peace.

It's unfortunate that some folk have so little awareness. Regardless 9f ones feelings 2 mins shouldn't be too much to ask

If they’re not following what is happening then they won’t have been be aware of the 2 mins silence. In their own home they can do what they want to. I’ve been watching the funeral but also been active on here and social media and not made my kids watch it or partake in the silence. I’ve done me and others can do them.
