Good evening, Ash! Today, I have ridden on the DLR, the Tube, the London Eye, a bus and a tilting train. All whilst sat in my personal vehicle of conveyance and with my little helper on board

We had splendid views, in lovely sunshine thank you. We missed the original train we'd intended to get, but no worries because on the next one, we were put in first class due to the loos in the regular class wheelchair area being out of service. We had an entire first class carriage to ourselves! |

That was a result! I accidentally sat in first class recently when I was travelling to Bath and was upgraded to stay there.
Then on my way back to London 2 weeks later the drinks trolly turned up, I went to pay for my cola and crisps but the card machine wasn't working so I got them for free!... |

Hello lovely people. I actually can't move today as I spend from 9 AM till about 1 AM yesterday out as I went to see the Queen lying in state. Every bit of pain today was worth it though. X |

Oh That worked out well then and we have been putting 1st class several times for the same reasons. Was the assistance OK because you were on a different train? |

It was better today at Euston than when I'd booked days ahead! We did give them an hour's notice, so not 100% rock up and go.......

That's not too bad then.
I had a bit of a horrible experience on the tube on the way home. I had my please offer me a seat badge and I was sat in the priority seat minding my own business on a not very busy train, When an extremely inebriated man opposite said "what's wrong with you then spastic" I was so exhausted and so shocked I just burst into tears but thankfully he got off the next stop and the people around me made sure I was OK and apologised for not getting involved but said they didn't know how we would react and didn't wanna make it worse for me. |

Oh crumbs, that's dreadful! At least people offered comfort after he'd got off but it is worrying when people don't want to intervene. I hope you are okay after that? |

I was OK actually because when I got off at the station I had to ask someone what the next train was because I couldn't see the board. The lady asked if I was OK and I burst into tears again and told her what had happened so her and her husband helped me on the train and looked after me. It's horrible when something like that happens but I think it's important to remember the majority of people are lovely. X |

Lorna,
I'm sorry to hear of your upsetting incident on your trip home. I know what it's like to experience similar circumstances.
Due to severe Osteoarthritis in joints, I walk with a 4 wheeled frame, but at times, I may as well be invisible & receive odd looks, get called all the disparaging names known, and am disrespected.
But I view it that it's their problem, whilst the vast majority of people and the general public are really good natured and do their bit to help.
It's a Shame that Passenger Assistance services only appear to operate with surface train operators and not the Tube. They're invaluable in their help. |

Thank you and while these things always upsetting I do hundreds of tube journeys without a problem but it's always the ones like this that's sticking the mind. Sorry you have experienced similar but yes you are right assistance on the tube is not forthcoming. |

Today's been a care-free day of little consequence but of plentiful 'Queen-related' newsfeeds.
In the morning I hung up a picture frame and then took a stroll around the high road.
