Just been diagnosed with not one, but two. Feel a relief to know what the pain is but now panicking I won’t be able to work. The greatness of being self employed, not. |

"Get yourself some income insurance today
Then wait a few weeks and claim on it
I get up to £2800 a month if I can’t work "
Luckily i have some but it’s more the fact that I may not be able to carry on in the career that I love |

I had a bad herniated disc years ago. Thought the same. It can get better. Don’t worry. Start walking. Long walks are great if you can manage it |

"Have you been offered surgery?
Yes but have been advised that I will need to change career afterwards "
Get more advice. Surgery is forever. You could do a year of rehab first and see where you end up
Surgery isn’t always the answer |

If you xrayed 1000 people, nearly 75% plus would have evidence of disc damage.
What are your symptoms ?
What was the cause ?
What have you done to treat the current pain ?
Have you tried exercising?
I worked as an exercise therapist in a back rehab unit for 5 years. |
