Losing Roger and Serena in the same year is hell.

Shame he's not going to get the send off he deserves like at a Grand Slam. Nadal and Djokovic can have more slams but Federer made everyone enjoy watching tennis

4-1 to United. We'll play a stronger 11 than last week because they have no game this weekend and need to get points on the board

by the big field

Can’t fault him, sure his retirement will be ace….I bet he’ll love all the time off after the length of time served listening to the racket some of the players make.

Financially, he’s set for life but not sure anything will quite match the highs of his tennis career no matter how game he is to try something new

Why do people keep calling Federer the GOAT when the numbers suggest he isn’t ?

I would say Nadal (currently) is the GOAT - more slams than RF and has one every slam at least twice.

But I think Djokovic will surpass them both as the GOAT is my opinion by the time all of their careers are over.

There seems to be a lot of sentimental twaddle around RF. I have heard that he played the game more beautifully than anyone else. But that’s all subjective nonsense.

Stick to facts and numbers.

But we don't fall in love with sports by sticking to the numbers. We fall in love with how the sport is played and who and those who make it fun to watch. It's easy to see why people consider Federer the GOAT in his sport

To be fair there are cases to be made for any of the 3 I mentioned or even possibly others (Laver, Borg) depending upon what parameters you use but when it comes to RF ‘GOAT’ seems to be added automatically a lot of the time which I think discredits the achievements of the others.

Anyway just my $0.02 worth !!!!!!!!!!

To be honest. I’m glad he retiring. He has had his fair share of trophies (GOAT).

But, we need other players like him to fill the gap.
