I'm trying to sort out a first passport for my son. Paid extra for the post-office to check I'd done it right. My friend, a retired post lady, counter signed as she had done for her sons passport a few months before. They sent me a letter today, I have to redo it all as they don't like my friend as a counter signer. WTF? Her sons friend has his passport but she can't sign for mine. I don't have anyone else who can do it |

I’d be kicking off and asking why
There’s no reason your friend can’t counter sign |

"She shouldn't have counter signed her own son's passport I'm amazed she got away with it"
Yes I'm surprised too. It says on the forms you can't countersign for a relative. Maybe that why she can't sign for you now?

You aren't allowed to counter sign a relative's passport so not sure how she got away with doing her son's. There's quite a range of people that can do it, might be worth looking online. Ask his dentist or Dr?

Is she a post person or a post mistress? If she's a person who delivers letters I don't think that's accepted. |
