Any service industry role or outdoor work
Cleaner, server, fastfood, bins, etc
Jobs that would have been called 'menial' but are actually 'hidden-skilled' |

Plastering. I get all the walls nice and smooth and straight for people to go and put fucking holes in them. And hammer nails into it. No respect at all. |

Anyone who is not paid what they're worth and felt valued as a worker.
Nurses / paramedics etc put up with so much shit, terrible hours and minimal pay in comparison to others in the same sector.
Carers - The people who look after troubled kids / elderly when nobody else can.
Volunteers- I'd love to see them being recognised in some way, these people who give up time to support the food banks etc that so many people are reliant.
I guess the services we clapped during covid and without our little island falls apart, who now seem to be forgotten |

Any job that you can't do yourself or equally won't.
Because someone else IS doing it and therefore if you don't respect them then why should anyone respect you?
A
*that said there are very few MP's currently in office that I have much respect for. |

The people who have to clean and change sani bins!
All jobs deserve respect and nobody knows how hard a particular job is unless they have done it themselves. You always hear people moan about how well or not well other people do their jobs yet have no clue about what they actually do. |

There are so many.
I think though the likes or nurses, paramedics and firefighters etc... should have better conditions and pay they are generally highly respected by the general public.
Whereas binmen, cleaning staff, retail staff keep economies and services going while been look at as lesser. |

Anyone in face to face customer service. I’ve witnessed some absolute wankers in the last 12-18 months. Like covid has created a huge wave of self entitled people who are rude & have zero manners. |

"Doctors receptionist, can't be easy being that miserable all the time."
It’s so hard along sure people that need to see a doctor have to tell you every single detail of their condition before they tell you there’s no appointments. I feel for them. |

What about us construction workers...no ones mentioned us!
We turn up when it rains, get wet and go home, when its 35° we turn up.. and go home, when its snowing, we turn up, have a snowball fight....and go home, if its too windy we turn up... you get the picture |

Engineers. With ‘em we’d be living in caves with sticks for tools
Also cleaners. Always looked at as bottom of the workforce but some of the literal shit they sort out that nobody else wants to….always be nice to your workplace cleaning staff |

When you say you clean toilets for a living! People tend not to be interested in what you do. No, I don't do dat! But I'm not a snob. Try it see what response you get.....
I personally don't care what occupation you have T.B.H. It's irrelevant.
For me I think being a plumber isn't easy. Think about it... Yes you fit for new builds, put in baths/showers for peeps. But what about the times you get called out to unblock peoples shit from a u bend? Or having your arm up a pipe on a cold/freezing day on a building site.
I just couldn't handle the shirt part.... |

"Armed forces. You’re not heroes. Sorry."
Would I call myself a hero no I wouldn't some would perhaps, but I don't consider myself to be one.
Have I seen acts that can only be described as truly heroic, yes I have multiple times, I've witnessed the physiological trauma inflicted on most that served and even more so if they went to combat.
To say that someone who swears and oath and allegiance to their country to keep you safe in the face of all enemies and if necessary lay down their life to protect you isn't a hero is downright disrespectful. |

Magistrates. I dint think they are paid or legally trained and have to balance applying the law and acting with a degree of understanding people often from very different walks of life while taking advice from clerks who are often failed lawyers with a dislike for working class people…..and in my (very limited) experience challenging companies they do it very well |

Yep get that frequently when I say my place of work and they assume I do something different so when I say I’m a cleaner they just say ‘oh’ and move on to the next thing they want to talk about lol |

"Has anyone said the blow job?
I wouldn’t say that was a difficult job at all… especially if you love giving them "
Exactly. And it’s the guy who sits there that moans about it when they do all the work. |
