Hi Folks, New series of An Idiot Abroad back on. Carl great (IMO) as usual and his travelling mate adds really well to the humour factor.
BUT: When The Office came out I thought Gervais was brilliant and hilarious - but on An Idiot Abroad, his fake 'shoulder shake' (aka: silent chortle) with that grin on his face, before he remembers he's got to do that annoying PAH! (weird, exploding, fake laugh) REALLY annoys me now. THANK YOU Sky + for letting me forward the Gervais bits.
I know that a lot of folks out there will like Gervais and fair play, but does anyone else find him intensely annoying and wish that once, JUST once Carl would punch his lights out...? (Aaaaannnnnnd relax!) |

I think that the following possibly won't be as 'popular' a comment and that more folks will actually like the guy - but second 'comedian' on my hate/wannapunch list is Russell Brand.....unfunny in it's entirity and somewho loves its' self |

I think when Rick Gervais played that prat in the office he was merely playing himself. Ricky Gervais is David Brent. He wasn't acting in the office he was just being himself. The office is a genius comedy though. |

I believe the best thing they have ever done is the XFM radio from around 2000-2005.
I got them all and they are truly the funniest thing I've ever heard. |

Well not really. Yes the office was genius but everything else he has done since then has been poor. A true genius would have done other good stuff. |

"i think gervais and pilkington are fantastic.
i really like rickys _iew on religion and of course he is an atheist"
I'm not sure how an aetheist can have an accurate _iew on religion if he's not studied it....though perhaps he has, in depth, etc...And religion's a pretty wiiiiiiiiide and indeterminable subject, as it gets to individual thought processes etc. Even if he did have a decent thinking brain, I'd still love to see Carl punch his lights out |

"just cannot stand gervais nor russell brand,as soon as they come on tv i have to change channel. "
Gervais has his moments but can become annoying.
Brand on the other hand, just a tosser who is breathing air someone else could use.
What's his purpose? |

You don't need to qualify as a bishop to understand even the basics of religion are utter crap.
Anyone who bases opinion on testable evidence and rational thinking like gervais does and the vast majority of intelligent people come to the same decision as him.
Carl p comes to the same decision although through a differnt method.
Outcome is some serious comedy
TV remotes have channel up and down buttons and off switches for a reason |
