I wouldn’t want to. If there is a god, it is quite clear he is a capricious, evil, monster with insane depravities that he must inflict such suffering and pain on the world, yet we must spend a lifetime on our knees in thanks to them. |

I kind of see heaven as floating around in Nirvana all day munching on ice cream and chocolate. I wouldn’t mind that tbf. |

There is a great amount that humans cause through greed, but there is also a large amount that is entirely of no fault of our own. Genetic disorders, cancers in children, insects with the only means of survival being to burrow into eyeballs. The bible/Christianity portray god as omnipotent and benevolent, so would have the power to change this misery, or cause it. |

Yep.
People are fucking sick, this is true. We kill eachother. We ruin lives for money, land, power and prestige. We invent new and exciting ways to kill and maim eachother in all manner of interesting, efficient and dramatic ways.
But then there's (allegedly) this all powerful, omnipotent, creator sat watching us do what we do whilst throwing in famines, floods, natural, disasters and diseases to help humanity die off even faster, including many who don't deserve it such as children.
If 'God' exists then should I ever meet him then the first order of business would be to punch him in the face. He doesn't deserve any worship or admiration.
If he considers himself to be man's 'Father' then he's one hell of a shitty parent.
