...is there a period of time after accepting a job offer when you can change your mind without having to give notice?
I mean, say you're two weeks into a new job, is there much point working a months notice? |

Some questionable advice here. Whatever your contract says in terms of notice period is the answer. If you do anything other than that you could be held for breach of contract and be liable for any losses incurred by the company.
In reality, speak to your employer and mutually agree something. |

Agree with this it will be in your contract and usually during your notice period it will be the same as they will have to give you if they wish to terminate

There are very very few companies that are going to pursue legal action over a notice period much less for someone who has only been there a short period.
It's there usually as a means to withhold any legal entitlements to holiday pay etc... upon leaving |
