I find I get invited to the bigger stuff - weddings/birthdays/parties etc, but when it comes to more everyday things like brunch, dinner, get togethers and the like, I am usually the one initiating and trying to organise everything. Even when talking to guys I am more often than not the one to ask them out on dates or meets.
It's a bit shit, and while I love my friends and understand they all have their own busy lives and partners etc, it would be nice to be reached out to a bit more.
So tell me, are you an inviter or invitee? Are you happy with your position? |

I do think it can be that folk take on a role in relationships without intending to. So people just don't think about it, they just expect it to happen a certain way because it always has.
In my friend group we all pop up suggesting different things so not an issue.
But in my family I am typically the host of parties for the likes of halloween etc
Because I was the one who started out wanting them for my kids and noone has ever said, "hey I'll do it this year" even after they had kids themselves |

Try message-bombing women asking if they've got any weddings they need a plus one to. This is my current problem... |
