How many serious relationships have you been in?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Do you go from relationship to relationship?
Are you an all or nothing type when it comes to dating or hold back and don't class dating as a relationship?
Or have you only ever been in one relationship?
We have been together since jools was 16 and I was 17.
We are now in our 50's can't imagine ever having a proper relationship with anyone else.
But I have known people who have been in a good dozen semi long term relationship six months or more.
But then I suppose this question followed by the question what constitutes a serious relationship? |

"The relationship I’m in and have been in since 17.
And I have a partner I’ve been with for a year. No others. "
I’m poly so counting another partner as a serious relationship even though I have a nesting partner. |

So when does a it go from dating,to a relationship to a serious relationship?
Is it when you move in together or a a child, get engaged, get a pet together or manage to sit and watch an entire ox set together? |

2.
Wife buggered off after almost 30 years together. Found myself in a long distance relationship for 4 years, but although that ended, we're still good friends. Have lived alone 11 years and at my age I can't see me having any more relationships.
Not even had a fling in ages. Last one of those was probably 6 years ago! |

3 also.
I'm quite amazed when people say that they've been together since they were teenagers etc.
When I was 16 I looked like I was about 9..so any serious relationship would have been out the question.

We've been together since we were 17 and 18. I had a serious relationship with my son's father before that, and then the ½ for my first proper boyfriend, brings my serious relationships to 2.5 |

3 serious relationships in my life.
I don't class dating as a relationship. To me it becomes a relationship when you're doing the more mundane things like washing each others undercrackers, as well as the fun things. Or the more trusting things like moving in together, having your own set of keys for their place, or being put on each others car insurance.
And it's serious when neither of you is embarrassed or grossed out when one goes into the bathroom for a pee while the other is in the bath |

Two my X was a dooosh.I was deployed for 18 months in Afghanistan. He took it upon himself to serenade several women at my expense. I was totally faithful.
Now with my new significant other I constantly wish I met him sooner. Lessons learned. |
