.. who never show their faces (and obviously who you’ve never met!) actually look like?
I do for some .. gawd knows how I’ve come to my conclusions though.
Or .. when you have finally had a face pic from them or met them at a social or club or whatever, do they ever look like you imagined? Or totally different?
Have some been very pleasant surprises? Or maybe the opposite
Obviously don’t name names, like, I’m just curious to know (to borrow a phrase )

"They are a few I wonder what they look like. Probably like when you see someone off the radio, the fabbers won't look anything like I imagined. "
Magneto I picture you like Assaad Bouab |

I have a face for radio. That's why it ain't on the profile nuffink to do with being a 'professional' or such like. |

"Even when I’ve seen a face picture, when I see their faceless avatars I default back to the imagine I had in my head even though I know it’s not right "

I have to say that I agree with this. Whether it's from a photograph or in person (e.g. Fab organised social), my imagination reverts to the long-entrenched image forged in my head so very long ago when I later 'see' that person on the fora. |

"Most of my Hotlist have hidden faces. I've often wondered if they'd all remain if they showed their faces - shallow, I know..."
As I know that I am on yours I’ll send you my face x |

No, I really struggle to imagine people until I've seen a few face pics.
Because I can't imagine their faces, I often forget that people on fab are real people. It's more like a soap opera. |

"I find it hard to imagine the faces of what people look like but when they do show me, I tend to just place their face on every photo of theirs I see "
I do that too. Like I physically print out their photos and stick on the heads. My whole spare room wall is covered with them .. I call it my wanking room … |

Haha. *funny story there.
So I’ve been often surprised when I meet people. height is the biggest shock sometimes.
But looks, yes, I always visualise. Often it’s a very nice surprise. |

Funny enough, a couple of the lads and I were talking about this subject not so long ago. The problem with here, and especially on straight dating sites, is that it's all too easy to conjure up in your imagination what the people you interested in are going be like, and that is invariably that they are everything that you are looking for. It never works out that way, although more often than not it's not a dating disaster. The other thing that was mentioned is that when you read messages, you are reading them in your own accent, when you actually hear the voice, it sounds nothing like the voice you imagine as you are reading their message. This is why my preference is for early telephone conversation, and that either ends it or mends it. |
