I think this is the story of most horsey partners…"
He very much dislikes the smell but both our kids have joined me in riding so he just goes with it! |

"Anyone else here have a love a of horses? "
I haven't been around horses enough to say that I love them.
I live near quite a few stables in Southwest London so maybe one day I will take up a horse riding course.
The few times I've been around horses, I've had a great time. Lovely creatures. and great for therapeutic purposes. |

Yes, I love horses and donkeys. Sadly I don't have much contact with them any more.
I always enjoy the reaction from a stableyard full of horsewomen when they realise that I can actually ride myself and I'm not just there to support someone else. It's funny – the horses always spot I'm a Horse Person before the other humans do. |

"I like the challenge of Shetlands stroppy little shits that they are
My son's worst fall was off a tiddy Shetland who had anger issues "
People call them "Shitlands" for a reason! I know of one that was introduced to an existing herd of full-sized horses, effectively staged a coup, and ended up second in the hierarchy in very short order.
I'm pretty convinced equids are prone to short man syndrome. |
