With people only just realising "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen is actually about sex, what are some other songs that seem pretty innocent and took you a while to ~get~? |

I'm a Christian by birth and it's always amusing when other Christians get choirs to sing a bastardised version of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah.
The BDSM come out when "she tied you to a kitchen chair!"
Imagine being sat at a funeral and someone says it was the deceased's favourite song... |

Every step you take by the police. It's not a love song. It's about stalking and not letting go.
Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams. He recently said the 69 refers to the sexual position, not the year.
Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen. He is not singing about how great America is. He is slagging off America.
You're Beautiful by James Blunt. This is another song about stalking. |

Some good mentions here
Mine are
Blue - fly by - basically about going dogging/car fun
George Michael - edge of heaven - bdsm
Seal - kiss from a rose - about the girl losing her virginity
Rihanna - shut up and drive - it’s not a car she’s telling him to “drive”
Cutting crew - I just died in your arms
Sia - chandelier - struggle to recover from addiction
Bruce Springsteen - born in the USA - a criticism of the Vietnam war and how it’s veterans were treated
Love these sort of songs especially when politicians and similar misunderstand them and claim to love them

"Shiny Happy People - R.E.M.
I think this song is about being on anti-depressants.
I Can't Feel My Face - The Weeknd.
I think this song is about cocaine."
ICFMF is definitely about cocaine; The Weeknd even put in the lyrics to Reminder how it how ironically hilarious it was that he got nominated for a Teen Choice award for that song
"I just won a new award for a kids show
Talking 'bout a face-numbing off a bag of blow" |
