First of all I want to say how a great actor he have been, from good morning vietnmannnnnnnn to night of the museum. I watched a documentary about him, here is the video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ox3yH4CQuAc and about his final days with his wife susan, he had a good day where he spend his day with susan, she was getting into bed and he came in couple of times and said good night my love and then he came back again with his ipad and he said goodnight, goodnight was his last word. I felt a bit sad as I watched it, but still interesting to know about how he battled with his illness where they said there are no cure for it, are you also aware of his struggles with it? |

How awful for his wife, she must have blamed herself for not realising how he was feeling. How awful for him too"
Yes, it must of been really awful for her and him as well as he didnt see any other way out of it than this way. |

You never know what is going on in someone’s head, never
It’s so sad people feel this is the only way to “escape” their troubles and those left behind are left to come to terms with what’s happened.
So hard, something you learn to live with but always have that why or what if I did x in the back of your mind.

I don't think the effect on the spouse and close family can be underestimated. Guilt, anger, grief. It's awful |

It's easy to hide behind an image to everyone including loved one's particularly when it's something we has spent our lives perfecting it.
You can even fool yourself you are happy at times.  |

My mum had the same type of dementia as Robin was diagnosed with. It turned her into a crazed woman. A restless tormented soul often caked in her own shit.
It was a battle to stop her swallowing bleach but by god her inner self wanted release from the misery of her condition. |

If you're dealing with the reality of a degenerative, life limiting or fatal diagnosis, it's important to respect the choice of that person to die with dignity.
I'm not sure what I would choose in that position tbh and hope to never find out.
Death is never easy on those left behind and certain circumstances can make it much harder than it need be for sure.
No perfect answer to any of it.
He found his peace his way is the only comfort x |

What an amazing guy he was, such a terrible loss. The face of depression is often disguised with smiling faces, and laughter sadly. |

Theres a history of dementia in my family, its certainly not a pleasant prospect to have to live through it with a slow demise, so maybe he made an informed choice?
I recently found out a former colleague did the same about a year ago, was diagnosed with terminal cancer, had a few months doing as many things as he wanted with friends and family before shipping himself off to a clinic when life became less fun, to end things on his own terms.
