Any medics on here please .......
How long does concussion last and could I have it ............. hit my head around 5.45 pm on Tuesday and tonight I keep feeling sick ....... and my head is still sore if I touch it ........

'Concussion' is a general term and relatively undefinable. But if you keep feeling sick after the knock, take the advise given above and seek medical help now. Chances are it'll all be ok, but please DO get it checked out  (From an ex-medic!) |

Chances are it isn't urgent...but chances are called chances for a reason. Best get it checked at A&E - as I say, probably nowt, but just in case |

Survived may be your key word.
Anything could have happened to make you still feel questionable and feeling sick is your body's way of telling you something is wrong.
My advice? - get off here and go to the hospital if if your doctors is closed. |

It can be minxie!
I've had many a concussion over the years throughsporting injuries (and theodd bottle over the head when working in pubs years back!) - including one that turned out to be a fractured skull!
Well worth getting it checked and A&E will provide an x-ray - open 24/7 and more than likely where any GP would send you if they were worried by your symptoms! |

N.h.s direct,.. there ll also be an out of hours gp's surgery, they ll have the details or it ll be on your gp's answering service,.. definitely worth getting checked over.. |

This reminds me of a farming forum i was a member of when someone was asking for advice about the severe chest pains he was experiencing!! And yes it was a heart attack. |

Back - yes its concussion ..... he took a sharp intake of breath when he saw it and said .............. ooooooooo I bet that hurt .............errrrrrrrrrr yeah and still does ........ if I start being sick or get any worse, have to go back and have a CT scan. So going to bed now .............. nite all. |
